Science fiction things like transponders are now part of our everyday lives
It is really amazing for me that as a kid who loved watching science fiction films and movies, I can now see things like transponders and such as a part of everyday lives, be it in the home, in the business or work or even rest and recreation. Recently I came to work and was issued an ID which if swiped in RFID readers will give you access to a certain part of the compant and give detailed information about a personnel. It was such a high tech gadget that I was amazed as I watched these thing only in movies back then like mission impossible and such. Even touch screen monitors are so common these days that you can go anywhere and use these things as information kiosks, cash registers and so an and so forth. The list goes in advancements in electronic gadgets and it seems there is no stopping it. We have to keep ourselves abreast in these things in order to keep up with the demands of the society, but I can say its also fun for someone like me who grew up imagining this kind of things only to come true when I am older.
